Round the Bend Farm (RTB), a Center for Restorative Community, is located in South Dartmouth, Massachusetts and is a 115-acre working farm and educational non-profit. RTB is seeking an experienced, passionate, and motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Bookkeeper & Human Resources (HR) Administrator. JOB DESCRIPTION
As our Bookkeeper & HR Administrator, this position requires a highly motivated, energetic, flexible, and organized individual; someone who is passionate about RTB’s mission, local food systems, the environment, and social justice. The Bookkeeper & HR Administrator serves as a vital financial and human resources position for the organization, supporting our Financial Services Controller (CPA) and Executive Director, and is directly responsible for accounting, finance, and human resources. This position requires a level of expertise/understanding in the following areas: accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, annual audits, and all aspects of managing employee relations & benefits. This is a 40-hour per week position with the potential ability to be hybrid.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate would have 2 – 3+ years of non-profit accounting and human resources experience. As an organization that strives to value diversity in all that we do, we take care and place extra value in continuing to diversify our team. Candidate preferences include the following:

- Capacity to manage duties & responsibilities dynamically in a team environment
- Proven financial & team management skills
- Ability to work independently and in groups of diverse people
- Dependable, tidy, flexible, personal maturity, mindful self-awareness, and a good sense of humor
- Courage, resilience, an open mind and open heart
- Being willing to contribute to communal living chores (meal preparations, cleaning tasks, etc.)
*Note: Preference will be given to candidates who have an active interest in environmental and social justice issues pertaining to both local and global food systems.
COMPENSATION
- Full-time, gross annual wages of $52,000; with benefits, the Total Compensation Package is approximately $74,000.
- Benefits paid by RTB include the following:
- Pension Plan: RTB contributes 10% of the employee’s gross salary, fully vested from the first day of employment (no probation period). This is a 403(b) plan which is equivalent to a 401(k) plan. In addition to RTB’s allocation, a teammate can opt to allocate additional funds from their paycheck.
- Health & Dental insurance Note: *RTB pays for 75% of the health & dental premiums for the first three years of employment; after 3 years of employment, RTB pays for 100% of the premiums.
