Round the Bend Farm (RTB), a Center for Restorative Community, located in Dartmouth, Massachusetts is a working farm and educational non-profit. Sticks and other woody debris can serve as mulch o Sticks and other woody debris can serve as mulch or building material for the farm’s hugel mounds. But when it comes to invasive species like mugwort, bittersweet, and certain rose and honeysuckle varieties, burning is a way to prevent them from reseeding and continuing to spread 🔥This past week our team worked on burning this pile of dry material which took around 4 hours since the debris must be added slowly to prevent smothering the fire.
